The Dead Weather – Coachella

The Dead Weather is one of Jack Whites many side/main projects. He knows music. He knows rock. The Dead Weather proves that.

To be honest, I wasn’t really expecting much, but when they started playing, I was blown away. They rocked and showed me that rock music can still live, even in this world full of auto-tune and 12 year old mega stars.

You can get prints/see high res over at my smugmug.

Enjoy.

Shooting Notes:

I got to the pit a bit late because I was shooting Les Claypool before. Because of that, there was already about 100 photographers in the pit, so I got a pretty bad spot to the side of the stage. I did as much as I could, and I tried some new different techniques in here. I used the 70-200 f/2.8 lens because it was pretty far away, and very very dark. None the less, amazing performance.

Great shots as usual, Max. I have been busting my ass to get a photo pass for their show here in St. Louis this week but to no avail. If nothing else I’ll just go and enjoy the show without a camera (unthinkable?).

    CW.

  2. Your pictures are AMAZING! All of them. Excellent.

Fantastic shots! I was able to shoot their concert in New Orleans and was blown to bits by the performance.
