Mute Math – Coachella

I love Mute Math. I have been a fan for years and I recently shot them at Club Nokia and the shot of the drummer (Darren King) jumping back into the crowd was put in Spin Magazines soundcheck section. That photo has over a million hits on it now and is one of my favorites.

Like always, they were just crazy good and went nuts. If you haven’t listened to them, I would highly recommend it.

You can get prints/see high res at my smugmug.

Shooting Notes:

Coachella was sweet, other than security. Mute Math normally allows you to shoot the whole set but the security was lame and I could only shoot the first 3. It was also during the day, which is not my favorite, but they are such a great band that it was alright. I shout with the 24-70 f/2.8 on my D700 for the set. They run around everywhere so I had to have as fast shutter as possible.
